£17 per hour, Monday-to-Friday work and the opportunity to secure a permanent position! We’re recruiting HGV Class 2 Tipper Drivers in Ilkeston for a straightforward driving role involving the collection and tipping of aggregates and other materials.
This opportunity would suit newly qualified drivers who have gained some commercial driving experience, as well as experienced drivers looking for a change from multi-drop deliveries. With consistent weekday hours and genuine temp-to-perm potential, this is a great opportunity to build your driving career.
You’ll operate a Class 2 tipper vehicle, collecting and transporting aggregates and other materials before tipping them at designated locations.
The work follows a straightforward routine of collecting loads, travelling to the required site and tipping before moving on to the next job. You’ll follow instructions from the transport team, complete your journeys safely and communicate professionally with site personnel.
You’ll also carry out daily vehicle checks, ensure loads are secure, complete the necessary paperwork and follow site rules and health and safety procedures.
You’ll need a valid UK Category C driving licence, Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card. Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply, provided they have gained some relevant commercial driving experience since passing their test.
Previous tipper driving experience is advantageous but not essential.
A reliable, professional and safety-conscious attitude is essential, along with the ability to follow instructions and work safely around vehicles and site equipment.
