PRODUCTION OP – HINCKLEY – DAYS – IMMEDIATE START.
We are seeking experienced Production Operative to join a small, vibrant and busy manufacturing team based in Hinckley (LE10).
The successful candidate will play an important role within the production facility, supporting the manufacture, handling, quality checking and packaging of goods. You will be expected to work efficiently and safely while following production procedures and instructions.
Key responsibilities include:
• Operating production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Starting, stopping and monitoring machinery in accordance with operating procedures.
• Using a range of production tools and equipment.
• Reading and accurately processing barcodes, purchase orders and material orders.
• Handling and moving loads of products and raw materials safely.
• Preparing and using raw materials in line with production requirements.
• Following production instructions, specifications and set processes.
• Carrying out product sampling and quality checks as instructed.
• Identifying any unusual or incorrect products, materials or machine performance and responding quickly by reporting issues to the appropriate person.
• Manufacturing goods to the required quality and production standards.
• Packaging finished products ready for dispatch.
• Wrapping and palletising finished goods safely and securely.
• Carrying out stock checks and assisting with stock takes.
• Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Following all company health and safety procedures and production guidelines.
• Working as part of a small team to meet daily production targets and deadlines.
For this role, previous experience in a similar production environment is required.
The ideal candidate will:
• Have hands-on experience working in a production or manufacturing environment.
• Be confident using machinery, tools and production equipment.
• Be comfortable working with raw materials and finished products.
• Have good attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal production instructions.
• Understand the importance of quality control and accurate product sampling.
• Be physically capable of handling and moving products and materials where required.
• Be able to identify problems or anomalies during the production process and react quickly and appropriately.
• Have good communication skills and be able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Be hard-working, punctual, reliable and committed to their role.
• Have a strong awareness of workplace health and safety.
• Be flexible and willing to support different areas of the production operation when required.
Training will be provided on company-specific processes and equipment where necessary.
