As an HGV Class 1 Night Driver, you’ll be responsible for completing trunking runs between designated depots and sites using a double-decker trailer.
The role involves minimal manual handling, allowing you to focus primarily on safe and efficient driving. You’ll be expected to complete your trunking runs on time, carry out all required vehicle checks, and maintain a professional standard throughout your shift.
To be considered for this role, you’ll need:
A full UK Driving Licence with Category C+E entitlement
A valid Digital Tachograph Card
A valid UK Driver CPC Card
A minimum of 1 year’s HGV Class 1 driving experience
No points on your driving licence
No brand-new passes
To have held your licence for at least 2 years, or be aged over 25 with 2 years held
Previous trunking experience
Experience operating double-decker trailers is preferred
Good knowledge of safe vehicle operation and coupling/uncoupling procedures
A reliable and professional approach to work
Comfortable working night shifts
