TRANSPORT SUPERVISOR
£32,000–£35,000 + Company Van | Nottingham | 40 hrs per week
We’re recruiting a Transport Supervisor to join an established environmental and recycling business operating across Nottinghamshire.
This is a great opportunity for an experienced transport professional who enjoys managing people, solving operational problems and being hands-on within the operation.
You’ll support drivers across multiple sites and work closely with the Transport Manager to keep the fleet running safely, legally and efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Managing and supporting a team of HGV drivers across multiple Nottinghamshire locations.
• Ensuring drivers meet required standards around safety, compliance and performance.
• Managing driver rotas, debriefs, observations and toolbox talks.
• Monitoring Driver Hours, WTD and tachograph compliance.
• Coordinating vehicle servicing, MOTs, PMI and other maintenance requirements.
• Carrying out site visits and vehicle checks.
• Dealing with day-to-day operational issues and supporting investigations.
• Working closely with the Transport Manager to improve transport performance.

You’ll also receive a company van and work across a varied operation covering multiple Nottinghamshire locations.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for a strong people manager with experience in transport, logistics or fleet operations.
You don’t need to have done exactly the same job before — we’re interested in someone who can lead drivers, communicate confidently and take ownership when problems arise.
A Category C or C+E licence would be useful but isn’t essential.
