Our client is a well-established transport and logistics provider with a reputation built over nearly eight decades of delivering reliable distribution services throughout the UK. Originally operating as a specialist steel haulier, the business has grown into a major force within the palletised freight sector and is a proud shareholder member of the Palletline network, offering nationwide logistics solutions to an extensive customer base.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit professional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their night operation. This role involves completing trunking runs between distribution hubs, RDCs, and NDCs across the UK. Drivers will collect palletised freight from a Palletline Distribution Centre before returning to the depot, following pre-planned routes and schedules. As all loading and unloading is completed by site forklift teams, this is a straightforward driving role with no manual handling requirements.
The position offers modern, well-maintained vehicles, organised workloads, and a consistent volume of work throughout the year, making it ideal for drivers seeking stability and long-term opportunities within a successful transport business.
Drivers will be responsible for conducting daily vehicle checks, adhering to all driver hours and transport legislation, operating in accordance with company procedures, and ensuring all transport documentation is completed accurately throughout each shift.
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following requirements:
– Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Driving Licence
– Possess a valid Digital Tachograph Card
– Hold a current Driver CPC qualification
– Have no more than 6 penalty points on their licence
We’re seeking experienced and professional drivers who have held their Class 1 entitlement for at least 12 months and are comfortable operating within a fast-paced transport environment. Successful candidates will be dependable, safety-focused, and capable of managing their workload efficiently while maintaining high standards of compliance and professionalism. A proactive attitude, strong awareness of transport regulations, and a commitment to representing the company positively are essential for this role.
