Class 2 Drivers Wanted – Early Starts, Ongoing Work & Excellent Rates
We’re recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for a busy and growing transport operation, offering stable, ongoing work and immediate starts. This is an excellent opportunity for professional drivers looking for straightforward work, consistent hours, and long-term job security.
As a Class 2 Driver, you’ll be responsible for transporting goods between distribution centres, customer sites, and business locations across the region. Working to planned schedules and delivery routes, you’ll ensure deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.
This role involves a mixture of collections and deliveries, with drivers typically completing between 1 and 3 jobs per shift. Duties will include vehicle loading checks, booking in at customer sites, and ensuring freight is transported securely while maintaining excellent service standards throughout the day.
With start times from around 08:00 each morning, this role offers a structured daytime schedule and a predictable working pattern, making it ideal for drivers seeking regular hours and a great work-life balance.
All drivers will be expected to carry out daily vehicle safety checks, comply with transport legislation and company procedures, and accurately complete all relevant transport documentation.
What you’ll need:
– A valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
– A current Digital Tachograph Card
– A valid Driver CPC qualification
– No more than 6 penalty points on your driving licence
In addition, you’ll need a professional and responsible approach to driving, a good understanding of drivers’ hours and working time regulations, and the ability to complete deliveries safely, efficiently, and in line with company procedures.
