In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals using fresh, locally sourced ingredients. You will cater to a range of dietary requirements, including modified textures, religious preferences, fortified meals, and diabetic-friendly options. A strong understanding of food safety standards is essential, including maintaining accurate temperature records and proper date labelling. Maintaining a clean and organised kitchen at all times is also a key part of the role.

Experience & Qualifications

For the role of Cook, you must have:
– Over 6 months of experience of preparing meals within a nursing home setting.
– An Enhanced DBS dated within the last 12 months or the facility to pay for one
– A Minimum of Level 2 in Food Safety
– In depth knowledge of allergies and allergens
– A true passion for producing high quality dishes
