Job Description

I am currently seeking an experienced Class 1 HGV Drivers to join a busy and well-established operation based in Stallingborough, working on behalf of a global freight and logistics company.
This is a great opportunity for reliable and experienced drivers looking for regular Class 1 (C+E) work with a respected logistics operation, transporting a wide variety of freight to customers and sites throughout the UK.
The Role
As a Class 1 HGV Driver, you will be responsible for the safe, efficient and professional transportation of a variety of loads across the UK.
Your duties will include:
• Driving modern Class 1 (C+E) vehicles throughout the UK
• Transporting a variety of freight and loads
• Making deliveries to a wide range of customer locations and sites
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and ensuring vehicles are operated safely
• Safely securing and transporting loads in line with company procedures
• Completing delivery paperwork and digital tachograph records accurately
• Maintaining a professional and courteous approach when dealing with customers and delivery sites
• Complying with all relevant UK driving legislation, Drivers’ Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Ensuring all company policies and health & safety procedures are followed

Hourly Rate: You will be paid £17.00 an hour PAYE or £21.00 Umbrella and accrue up to 28 days paid holiday a year. Please note we do not offer sponsorship.
Working Hours: This role is Monday to Friday, 6am start averaging 40-50 hours a week.

Experience & Qualifications

For this position, you must have:
• A valid Class 1 (C+E) HGV licence
• A minimum of 1 year’s Class 1 HGV driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good understanding of UK road networks
• Experience with tramping or trunking is desirable
• Experience working at a port would be an advantage

• The flexibility to undertake overnight stays when required
