HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted – Chesterfield
Our client, after being established in 1983, joined the newly formed Palletways network in 1994, providing a cost-effective solution to transport for companies and individuals based within South Yorkshire and Derbyshire, specialising in palletised distribution. After rapidly expanding over the past 20 years, they moved to a new site situated off junction 30 on the M1, joining their second network UPN in 2021, where they’ve gone from strength to strength. They are now looking to add additional HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team. The role of a HGV Class 1 Driver will involve trunking to RDC’s and NDC’s nationwide where they will be required to open a curtain and wait to be loaded full of pallets before returning to the depot. Trailor swaps also involved.
All drivers will be expected to carry out vehicle checks prior to deliveries and complete all paperwork in line with company guidelines.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following,
– HGV Class 1 Licence
– Digital tacho card
– A full UK CPC
– No more than 6 points on your licence
You must also have held your licence for a minimum of 1 year with at least 180 days commercial driving experience
