Salary: £42,500 to £45,000 + Car/Allowance + Bonus + Excellent Benefits
Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week (No weekends)
A well-established company is expanding its Transport Leadership team and is now recruiting an experienced Transport Manager to support operations across Nottinghamshire.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a CPC-qualified transport professional with strong knowledge of fleet management, transport legislation and O’Licence compliance to join a global organisation focused on sustainability and service excellence.
In this role, you’ll take ownership of the transport function, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational performance and continuous improvement across our waste management services.
Role Overview
– Manage and control the full transport operation across Nottinghamshire, with potential involvement across the wider regional network
– Ensure full compliance with O’Licence standards, transport regulations and company processes
– Oversee vehicle maintenance, servicing schedules and fleet performance, ensuring legal compliance and best value
– Support the production of monthly profit and loss accounts, forecasting and CAPEX submissions
– Build strong relationships with regulatory bodies including the Environment Agency, HSE and Transport Ministry
– Lead and develop your team through effective management, training and recruitment
– Represent the department at key operational meetings and deputise for the General Manager when required
– Review and refine processes to embed a culture of continuous improvement and operational efficiency

What You’ll Need
– Experienced Transport Manager with a solid background in logistics or similar environments
– CPC qualification – essential
– In-depth knowledge of Transport, Environmental and Health & Safety legislation
– Strong leadership skills with an ability to motivate teams and drive performance
– Confident decision-maker, capable of working autonomously and taking initiative
