Import/Export Coordinator – Derby – £28k–£32k
About the Company:
A popular online retail business in Derby is continuing to expand, and they are now seeking an Import/Export Coordinator to strengthen their logistics team. This is a great opportunity for someone with strong seafreight and logistics experience to join a supportive, growing company.
The Role:
As an Import/Export Coordinator, you will manage the end-to-end coordination of international shipments, ensuring smooth import and export processes for the business. You’ll work closely with the wholesale, sales, and warehouse teams to support global operations and deliver excellent service to customers.
Key Responsibilities:
– Coordinating international shipments (import and export) with freight forwarders and carriers.
– Preparing and checking shipping and customs documentation.
– Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations.
– Liaising with internal teams and external partners to ensure on-time deliveries.
– Maintaining accurate records of shipments and costs.
– Producing shipment and logistics reports using Excel (including VLOOKUPs).

Experience & Qualifications

– Proven experience in seafreight and logistics (essential).
– Strong knowledge of import/export processes and documentation.
– Advanced Excel skills, including confident use of VLOOKUPs (essential).
– Experience in retail logistics (advantageous but not essential).
– Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
– Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
