About the Role:
We are seeking multiple dedicated and safety-conscious Chemical Site Decommissioning Operatives to support the safe and efficient decommissioning of chemical processing facilities. This role involves working within a multidisciplinary team to dismantle, clean, and prepare chemical plant infrastructure for closure or repurposing, in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:
Execute decommissioning tasks including dismantling of equipment, pipework, and structures.
Safely handle and dispose of hazardous materials in accordance with regulatory standards.
Conduct site cleaning, decontamination, and waste segregation.
Operate tools and machinery required for decommissioning activities.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials handled, and safety checks.
Collaborate with engineers, safety officers, and environmental teams.
Follow strict health and safety protocols and wear appropriate PPE at all times.

Hourly Rate: £14.40 per hour Monday to Friday £21.60 per hour after 8 hours daily £21.60 per hour for all Saturday Hours £28.80 per hour for all Sunday Hours
Working Hours: The decommissioning Operations will run on a 7 Day Operation. Monday to Sunday 18:00 - 04:00 - 9.5 hours paid per shift. You will be working within the working time regulations, with overtime available for those who opt out of the working time regulation 48-hour rule

Experience & Qualifications

Requirements:
A Valid CSCS Card
Previous experience in industrial or chemical site operations, preferably in decommissioning or demolition.
Knowledge of hazardous material handling and environmental safety standards.
Valid certifications in confined space entry, manual handling, and hazardous waste handling (preferred).
Strong awareness of health and safety practices.
Ability to work in physically demanding and potentially high-risk environments.
Good communication and teamwork skills.

Desirable Qualifications:
NVQ Level 2 or above in Process Operations, Engineering, or a related field.
HAZMAT or COSHH training.
Experience with permit-to-work systems and risk assessments.
