As a QA Shift Operative, your primary responsibility is to ensure the highest standards of product quality, safety, and legality. You’ll achieve this through various in-line checks and tests, identifying and addressing non-conforming products.
Main Responsibilities:
Conduct basic tests on raw materials and finished products.
Investigate issues from test results and take corrective actions.
Collect and prepare samples for testing, recording and distributing results.
Place products on hold if needed, complete paperwork, and follow up on corrective actions.
Raise non-conformances for out-of-spec products and manage corrective actions.
Maintain organized shelves for finished product samples.
Review delivery and production paperwork for compliance, reporting discrepancies.
Grade finished product samples as part of quality assessment.
Assist with basic product inquiries and tests for complaints procedure.
Perform routine quality checks and calibration on factory equipment.
Conduct audits for GMP, procedure adherence, batch numbers, etc.
Perform glass and brittle plastic audits as required.
Log data from in-line metal detectors, investigate rejects, and escalate issues.
Ensure correct specifications for the manufactured product.
Promote hygiene practices and report recurring failures.
Collaborate with team members and other departments.
Undertake tasks assigned by your manager.
Requirements:
Basic health and safety awareness (Level 2).
Understanding of risk assessments and safe working procedures.
Basic computer skills.
