HGV 1 Driver (Low loading)

Job Description

As an HGV 1 Driver you will be responsible for the safe and timely delivery of plant vehicles to our clients. You will be delivering between 1 and 4 plant vehicles per day, ensuring that they reach their destination in excellent condition. This position requires the flexibility to cover both day and night shifts as well as occasional overnight stays.
Key Responsibilities:
• Safely operate and maintain an HGV 1 vehicle.
• Transport plant vehicles to various client locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and reports.
• Adhere to all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients.

Hourly Rate: The rate of pay is £907.50 per hour paid via our Umbrella provider. or You can choose to get paid through PAYE, meaning the pay is £750 per week and in addition to this, we offer full pay for 28 days of annual leave, which will make the hourly rate £840.52 per week including your holiday accrual.

Working Hours: You will work 5 days per week including some Saturdays.

Experience & Qualifications

Qualifications:
• Valid HGV Class 1 license.
• CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph card.
• Previous experience as an HGV 1 driver.
• Good knowledge of road safety regulations.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work day and night shifts.
• Willingness to undertake overnight stays as needed.
