Immediate Start - Transport Supervisor

Job Description

Exciting long term opportunity for a trasnport Supervisor based in Coalville.

Duties include:

•Ensure all vehicles and drivers conform to relevant health and safety and Road Traffic legislation and are maintained to the highest of standards.
•Assist in ensuring that you and the drivers are appropriately trained and qualified and arrange additional training where required.
•Ensure the process for route planning and vehicle loading is appropriate and suggest improvements where possible.
•Allocate work for all drivers and ensure all paperwork is correct and authorised as required
•Investigate and resolve all queries relating to deliveries
•Allocate returns note for drivers to action
•Ensure that the C&D and trunking fleet is compliant, and supervise the drivers that are leaving site ensuring they have the correct paperwork, All issues to be reported to your line manager.
•Provide po’s to agency providers for the previous weeks
•Book agency cover for the month
•Scan respective pods to customer services
•Manage driver fleet infringements
•Book Weekly fleet inspections
•Complete weekly diesel pump inspections
•Maintain service planner and report any overdue servicing / maintenance activity.
•Send handover daily
•Complete Gate checks/ sign drivers vehicle.

Experience & Qualifications

To be considered for the role you must:

•People management experience (desirable)
•CPC (desirable), if not will be given opportunity to study
•Driving experience (desirable)
•2 years minimum experience in a transport operation managing people and equipment.
•Delivering Process and continuous improvement.
